{"id":386,"date":"2021-07-12T11:54:25","date_gmt":"2021-07-12T10:54:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kennydenton.com\/stagingnew\/?p=386"},"modified":"2023-05-22T18:19:36","modified_gmt":"2023-05-22T17:19:36","slug":"bing-crosby-gives-the-best-birthday-gift-ever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kennydenton.com\/?p=386","title":{"rendered":"Bing Crosby Gives the Best Birthday Gift Ever"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place &#8211; The Music Centre, Wembley <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time &#8211; July 1975 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Artist &#8211; Bing Crosby <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July 1975 at the Music Centre in Wembley, Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire were recording a duet album. There was a rumour that Bing could be difficult to work with in the studio but this proved to have no foundation whatsoever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This gives you an insight into the Bing Crosby I encountered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On one occasion during a break in recording Bing started to make his way from the studio to the in-house restaurant for a very welcome lunch break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">God Bless Bing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just outside the studio Peter Wilson, one of the studio staff members, was on the phone to his mother.
